Description
ACE's Root Cause Policy Analysis ACE's Root Cause Policy Analysis The purpose of this project is to gain insights to root causes and protective factors of ACEs from content experts in community agencies, health clinics, and/or nonprofit organizations working closely with communities and families that have high risks of experiencing ACEs and consequent health problems (i.e., ethnic minorities, <100% federal poverty line, LGBTQ, and Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN)). These groups play an important role in addressing ACEs and their root causes, as well as protective factors embedded in the communities. It is important to gain insights from individuals who have expertise in working with families and communities that experienced adversities. Experts from the ACE domains can provide insight into the systemic and structural causes of ACEs as well as systems and structures in place to facilitate protective factors. Further, key experts can provide insight on how Arizona differs from other southwestern states in its systems and policies that affect ACEs and protective factors.
