SOMS: Graphics, Electronics, and Computer Support Facility

The electronics shop, located in the basement of the C-wing, includes a manager and four full time personnel specializing in various areas of technical support. Broad areas of expertise include computer hardware and configuration support; systems, applications and network software support; scientific instrumentation repair; and instrument design and modification. In addition to providing electronic and computer maintenance on the equipment in nearly all the major departmental instrument facilities, they perform a great variety of essential services for the department.
